Nemesis

A Side:

It has come to my attention that I have a Nemesis! I find this an extremely cool thing as it finally propels me into the league of superheros and villians. With that being said, we now have to define which side each is on.

It has come to my attention, through various secret and thoroughly entrenched sources, that ChattyAssHat is in fact French. Not just French, but French-Canadian! It wasn't bad enough to be part of le bleu, but he's also part of the that great northern wasteland that sits right above America taking up precious parking garage space. And lord knows with all of the rotting SUVs that we now have junking up car dealer lots, both new and used, that we have to have some place to store all of that. Canada fits the bill just fine I would say.

One must also consider, what is Canada doing to help the world? Considering how our friend here is French- Canadian, I can only presume to think that he's directly linked to the continued profession of the dreaded mime!

Seriously, who else conducts psychological warfare like the French by putting these roving bands of mental assasins on each street corner to terrify kids and old people alike?

The French- Canadian version includes a beer in hand; past that, they're the same!

I could go into whole, "Candian video gamers are on the same level as monkeys banging keyboards", but I think the clear evidence that I've already presented shows exactly whos side I'm on. Clearly Superman, Batman and the X-Men will be thrilled to find out I'm showing up to work along side of them come Monday morning. Now to figure out what my costume shall look like...

B Side:

Another one of the milblogs I've discovered is Another Iraq Casualty. It's another fairly well written blog from a fellow ILO (in leiu of) companion. Reason I'm linking it is because todays article harkens back to a time when people actually thought their decisions all the way through. As in, if we do this, then this will happen and we'll have to respond in this way.

The other reason I'm posting this is because I've had a similar piece lined to do, but I've been really lazy about getting it out. The piece is from General Norman Schwarzkopf's autobiography and it says just about the same thing as the Dick Cheney piece. It's eerily prescient and one wonders why we don't listen to people with experience on the subject.
